On 12 May 2026, the Swiss Turkish Business Council (STBC) held its General Assembly and Swiss–Turkish Business Forum at the Dorint Airport-Hotel Zürich in Opfikon, Zurich, with strong participation from members and guests.

During the members-only General Assembly, the association reviewed its activities, discussed strategic objectives for the upcoming term, and addressed initiatives aimed at strengthening economic relations between Switzerland and Türkiye. As part of the elections, Beat Wechsler was elected to the STBC Board of Directors.

Within the scope of the General Assembly, the topic of the forum program to be held on December 1 was also announced to the participants. In this context, it was stated that the Turkish domestic car brand Togg will be introduced during the event on December 1, and participants will be given the opportunity to see and examine the vehicle up close.

Following the General Assembly, the Swiss–Turkish Business Forum focused on current global economic developments and investment opportunities in Türkiye.

Among the keynote speakers were:

Dr. Osman Nuri Beyhan
Serving as Chief Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Bern, Dr. Beyhan shared insights on Türkiye’s foreign trade policies and the future potential of Swiss–Turkish economic cooperation.

Ricardo Castillo
As Director of Investments at Mirabaud Wealth Management, Ricardo Castillo presented analyses on global investment trends, capital market developments, and the economic outlook for Europe.

The event continued with a networking dinner at the “Basilico” restaurant within the Dorint Hotel, offering participants from the business community an opportunity to exchange ideas and establish new professional connections.

The evening concluded with a social gathering in the hotel garden, where STBC member “Presidente Cigars” offered special selections to guests.
